Dodi Buckmaster Glas, AICP, LEED®BD&C earned her Masters’ degree as an Environmental Growth Management Fellow at Florida Atlantic University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Urban Planning Regional Development from Salisbury State University in MD.

She has focused the past 30+ years on both current and long-range comprehensive planning, agriculture, affordable housing, urban design, energy & sustainable practices, policy development, community building & design, redevelopment and construction in South Florida and the East Coast of the United States.

Dodi has worked for Palm Beach County, where she helped get the County’s first Comprehensive Plan adopted as well worked on the first PBC Unified Development Code. She was the first Manager of the Palm Beach County Commission on Affordable Housing. Today she helps clients, both public and private sector, through the challenges of visioning, policy development, site design, public involvement, and the world of regulations related to development approval and construction.

Some of her highlighted projects include the intergovernmental coordination and implementation of the first Comprehensive Plan adopted by Palm Beach County; the PBC Agricultural Reserve Study; creation of the Robert Pinchuck Housing Trust Fund; Palm Beach County’s first Affordable Housing Density Bonus Program; and the development of senior, farmworker and affordable housing communities in Florida and Maryland. She has also been involved in a multitude of residential, mixed use, redevelopment, and commercial projects in Palm Beach County including Legacy Place, PGA Plaza, Delray Market Place, Delray Place, Hampton Cay, The Grande, Harbour Oaks, La Posada, Northlake Square West, Shoppes at Southern Palms, Latitudes, Fountains East, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and School, Turtle River Montessori, the MacArthur Center DRI, LA Fitness Plaza and Sugarland Wind Farm.

Dodi’s professional affiliations include the American Planning Association, American Institute of Certified Planners, and the Palm Beach County Planning Congress. She has served as board member of the Housing Leadership Council since 2019.
