For millennials, finally some affordable housing in Abacoa is right around the corner

October 23, 2019 by Housing Leadership Council

A new mixed-use apartment building is planned for Abacoa now that developers have approval from Jupiter’s Town Council.

Developers successfully lobbied the town to convert 56,912 square feet of retail space into 20 one-bedroom apartments with room for medical and retail uses. Six of the apartments are designated as workforce housing in exchange for the town allowing the building to be more densely occupied.

Town Council members approved amendments to the site plan and neighborhood regulations in separate 3-2 votes Thursday.
