The City of West Palm Beach currently has a housing rehabilitation program with an interest-free loan for up to $50,000 to help address repair items that comprise the life, health and/or safety of the household. Income limits do apply.

City of Palm Beach Gardens

The city will begin accepting applications in person at City Hall on May 10, 2016. There is a public information session planned for Tuesday, May 3, 2016, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, 10500 N. Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

The City of Palm Beach Gardens now qualifies to contract directly with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for federal funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The program provides annual grants on a formula basis to entitled cities and counties to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.

The City’s Owner-Occupied Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program is funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The Owner-Occupied Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program will provide home repair assistance in the form of a 0% interest-deferred payment loan of up to $20,000 for exterior home hardening, such as roof repairs, replacement of exterior windows and doors, and exterior accessibility. The program is available to low- to moderate-income single-family homeowners, per HUD guidelines, on a “first-eligible, first-served” basis.
