Federal Housing Policy

 

The Housing Leadership Council  is watching closely for the final verdict of HUD's 2012 Budget cuts and how they will affect the housing landscape.  In the final 2011 HUD Budget, housing counseling agencies which provide low to no cost counseling to those looking to purchase a new home were "zeroed" out and are still unsure if there will be funding provided in the 2012 Budget. HLC believes this is a "critical" aspect of home buying in the future and to ensure that potential buyers are educated in ALL aspects of buying a home.
